Give your intestines some love!

Updated: Nov 3, 2019

Healthy intestines are just the beginning of a healthy body. Healthy intestines will help you have a better digestion. Digestion issues can limit your progress and it makes many people feel less energetic. Digestion issues are often linked to hypersensitivity for certain food products. This is why it is important to find out what foods help healthy intestines.

Disclaimer: I am not a nutritionist, but I have had some personal issues with my intestines. This has made me do some research on what diets can help your digestion and how to change your lifestyle. This post is created to share personal experiences.

Of course, there are soms diseases that can give intestines issues, however, many issues can be solved by following some steps to healthy intestines. Some symptoms of intesines issues are:

- Feeling bloated

- Gastric acid

- Excessive burping

Firstly, it's important to find out the cause of these symptoms, however, it will not hurt trying a intesines friendly diet. I started changing my lifestyle by supporting my digestion consuming natural resources. Some of my tips are:

- Start the day with lemon juice and hot water. Put the juice of half a lemon in a small glass of hot water. It will stimulate your digestion.

- Marinate certain foods with lemon or lime juice or vinegars.

- Try slow cooking.

- Drink vegetable juices which are low in fiber. Smoothies and juices contain many fruits and vegetables at once.

During my research I have found a five step program that helps you changing your lifestyle for healthier intestines. This program is explained below.

1. Remove toxins!

Many recipes can be found online which will help you find foods that are not irritating your intestines. The products I avoided were gluten and legumes.

2. Replacements!

The avoided products need replacements, because your body needs those nutrients. I replaced gluten for glutenfree products, like rice. I also replaced dairy products for lactose-free products.

3. Repopulation of the good bacteria!

Give your intestines and body some time to adjust to the changes.

4. Healing of the intestinal wall!

Be sure to have found products and a diet that support your intestines and work well for your body. No advice is suitable for all. This process takes time.

5. Balance recovery between mind and body!

This step might be the most important one. It is easier to start a diet than to maintain this lifestyle. This is why it's important to find a diet that fits your lifestyle and helps your body to get healthier. This way it will be easier for you to maintain this lifestyle.

In recipes you will be able to find some recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner that will support your diet.

I hope this post will help you and motivate you to love your intestines more. It will certainly make you feel better! Take a look at other posts for more information and tips.
